uwait
How it works

Four steps from a question to a payout

uwait turns the seconds you spend waiting for an AI answer into income. A real-time auction places one native ad in that wait-time slot, then splits the winning bid 50% to you, 30% to the cited sources and 20% to uwait. The ad never blocks the answer.

The flow

What happens when you ask a question?

Every step runs in the time the model is already thinking. Nothing is added to your wait, and nothing changes about how you chat.

01

You ask the AI a question

You use ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Mistral, Copilot, DeepSeek or Grok the way you always do. The free uwait extension only notices that an answer is being generated. It never reads your prompt.

02

A real-time auction fires for the wait-time slot

The moment the model starts thinking, advertisers bid in real time for that single wait-time slot. The highest bid wins, instantly, before the answer finishes streaming.

03

A native ad slides into the seconds you would wait anyway

The winning ad appears as one discreet, native placement during the seconds the model is already thinking. It never blocks, delays or covers the answer.

04

You get paid, and the cited sources get royalties

Each winning bid is split automatically. You keep the largest share, the public sources the AI cited earn royalties, and uwait runs the marketplace.

The split

How is each winning bid shared?

Every auction is split the same way, in real time. The largest share goes to you, because it is your attention and your wait-time that the slot is built on.

50%
You (the earner)

Paid into your wallet, withdrawn to your bank via Stripe once you pass the payout minimum.

30%
Cited sources

Royalties to the public domains the AI cited in its answer, so the web that trained it keeps earning.

20%
uwait platform

Runs the real-time auction, payouts and fraud checks that keep the marketplace honest.

The 30% royalty is the same idea behind Fund the Sources: the AI uses the open web to answer you, so the open web should be paid for it.

Privacy

Does uwait read your prompts?

No. uwait never reads your prompts or the answers you get. The extension only detects that an answer is being generated and which public domains the AI cited. Your prompts and answers stay on your machine.

  • It sees that a response is in progress, not what you typed.
  • It reads the public sources cited in the answer, to route royalties.
  • Targeting is aggregated and anonymised, never tied to a person or a prompt.
